Incredible brass and murano glass teardrop chandelier by Gaetano Sciolari
Stunning and rare brass and murano glass chandelier by Gaetano Sciolari. Made during the 1960s in Italy. In great condition with some normal signs of age. A bit of oxidation on the inside of the frame, but invisible when hung in the air. The lowest ‘ball’ has a replaced cap that is slightly smaller. Few pieces of this chandelier were made and they are hard to come by. Due to the nature of the glass, they turn from purple to blue when they are hit by direct sunlight.
